About Us

      Bryan grew up in Yorktown, Virginia where he developed his love for the water and sailing at an early age by exploring the York River and the Chesapeake Bay. He further cultivated his passion for the sea at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he received a degree in Marine Biology. Bryan possesses a 100-ton master USCG license and over 20 years in the industry. His experience includes Lead Captain of the Downeast Rover, a 55-foot double masted schooner, and an extensive yacht delivery resume. When not “working”, Bryan enjoys blue-water cruising on his Baba 35’ and searching for surf waves in remote locations. 

 Our charter boat, Ellen Ripley represents the new age in the boating and marine industry. This catamaran is the first zero emissions, all electric, powered by 100% renewable energy charter. She represents what is possible when implementing green technologies into an already green art of sailing. Powered by nature.

Native | Bryan’s rooted respect for the Chesapeake, comes from his grandmother, a direct descendant of Pocahontas. The Algonquin tribe, native to the tidewater area of Virginia, were known for their hospitality and connection to the surrounding environment.

Island | Comes from his grandfather, who is one of the early settlers to what is referred to as the Bull Island area of the Chesapeake Bay, the area you will be sailing in, now a part of Poquoson. Generations of crab fisherman are native to this “Island” and we will be sailing though their home waters.
